Meet The Team - Our Financial Advisors
Jamie Milne, CFP®
Founder, Milne Financial Planning
After working in banking and insurance, I started Milne Financial Planning in 1996 to create a completely independent company. Our firm is designed to provide honest, helpful answers with one thing in mind: you and your goals.
I take my fiduciary oath seriously, and Milne Financial Planning is a Fee-Only firm because we don't believe in taking commissions. The best interest of our clients should be the focus of all planning and investing decisions. Our advice and recommendations are based on our experience and beliefs, free from sales quotas and product commissions. 100% of our compensation is paid by our clients.
I am honored by the trust that clients have placed in me, and I feel fortunate to share in designing their financial futures. I love working with new clients. All clients are unique, and I find it rewarding as we work together toward the answers that best fits their questions and goals.
My wife, Katheryn, joined Milne Financial Planning in 2023 as our Client Services Manager. She is a CPA licensed in Vermont. We feel fortunate that we enjoy working together and we love serving our clients.
When I'm not working with clients, I enjoy water skiing, snow skiing, biking, cars and spending time with my family. I'm fortunate to have three daughters, their partners and my four grandchildren all living close by.

Katheryn Milne
Client Services Manager
As Client Services Manager at Milne Financial Planning, my focus is on making sure clients feel supported, heard, and well cared for. I love serving as a resource for clients, helping answer questions, solve problems, coordinate follow-up and help keep client needs and requests moving forward.
As a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Vermont, I bring a strong financial background, attention to detail, and a practical approach to my role. I love connecting with clients and their families and being someone they can turn to when they have a question or need help navigating an issue.
I'm a lifelong Vermonter and a founding member of the Rotary Kingdom Impact Club. My husband, Jamie, and I have five grown daughters between us and are proud grandparents to four grandchildren. Family is an important part of our lives, and we enjoy spending time together whenever we can.
I'm happiest when I'm sipping my morning coffee, prepping food in the kitchen, taking walks with family and friends or enjoying a good movie night at home.
